Living in the Pacific Northwest is a year-round blessing considering the quantity of edible fungi and plants that surround us. On our urban foraging tour, guests will have the opportunity to go on a guided walk with a Pacific Northwest edible plant specialist. The tour guide will point out edible plants and teach guests how to properly identify & harvest wild plants for food or medicine. While the offerings vary from season to season, some common species we come across are watercress, morel mushrooms, miner's lettuce, stinging nettle, cattail and salsify. Participants will learn identification methods, step by step harvest methods and preparation. This guided tour focuses on wild edible plants that that are relatively easy to identify and do not have poisonous look-alikes.
